The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) recently deployed to Minneapolis, Minn., in the midst of protests and unrest following the tragic death of George Floyd. While ministering at Floyd's memorial site, one chaplain met Vincent, a former Marine. Vincent told the chaplain he tried to commit suicide just a year earlier. The chaplain listened before sharing that Jesus Christ was the only source of lasting peace in his own life. Vincent was open the hearing more and follows along as the chaplain explained the Gospel. Before their time together ended, Vincent prayed to surrender his life to Jesus, the "Wonderful, Counselor, Might God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6 NKJV). Will you pray for Vincent and all those hearing the Gospel though BG-RRT?

The Foundation, Vicki was 18 and ready to begin college when she found out she was pregnant. Her boyfriend Roberto had dreams of playing professional soccer in Mexico. The first time they visited a Pre-Born! Pregnancy Clinic, it was obvious they had no intention of keeping the baby. Everything changed the moment  they watched their tiny baby's heart beating.

 

After the ultrasound, Vicki tenderly held the clinic's small fetal models in her hand as their client advocate prayed with them and encouraged them to bring their family in for a ultrasound. Vicki and Roberto's family agreed and during the ultrasound, they commented on whether they though it was a girl or a boy, laughed as they said it looked like the baby was playing soccer, and ultimately encouraged the couple to parent.

With the help of an ultrasound and the encouragement of their family, Vicki and Roberto decided to keep their baby. They said they couldn't wait to find out if it was a boy or a girl so they started buying clothes.

Please accept our deepest gratitude for your recent gift to the ministry of The Gideons International. It is truly awesome how God is using the resources of faithful partners like you to perform miracles amidst the uniquely challenging times in which we live.

The greatest miracle we get to witness, and that you are a part of, is rebirth. Hearing the testimonies of the Lord removing someone's heart of stone and giving them a heart of flesh never grows old and we recently heard Ricardo's testimony of rebirth...

Ricardo was working for Brazil's national health department when The Gideons came to visit. They were not allowed to enter the building, and due to Ricardo's position, he took care of the situation. Although his experience with The Gideons was short, Ricardo heard the Gospel from one of our men for the first time that day. Ricardo repented and committed his life to the Lord. He began studying God's Word and started a Bible study. "God used The Gideons to change me. As I continued to grow in my faith, I felt a call to ministry and became a pastor. I thank God every day that Gideons invest their time to reach people like me."

By the grace of God this situation that appeared to be a closed door led to the one that He had opened. Thank you for your prayers and generosity that help make testimonies like Ricardo's possible. May the joy of our Lord fill you this season and into the New Year!
